  • Furniture removal:
    Stepping South will obtain quotations, a rrange dates, times, place and destination etc and co-ordinate the removal company’s services and liaise with the Removal Company until goods arrive at destination in good order.
  • Interim accommodation:
    We will book short-term accommodation, arrange your lease, co-ordinate payment and take care of the departure inspection and return of deposit.
  • Pre-final inventory inspection:
    Stepping South will check for any damages, and advise on what maintenance, repairs and cleaning needs to be done before handing over to owner/agent for inspection to ensure the return of your deposit.
  • Cancellation of services:
    We will cancel your contracts with the electricity department, telephone service provider and satellite service provider. Return leased vehicles to the car rental company. Arrange for your local bank accounts to be closed and cancel your post box and ensure all future mail is redirected and arrange all relevant final invoices and recover deposits.
  • Schools/educational institutions:
    Stepping South will notify the schools that your children are leaving the country and arrange for updated school records and letters of recommendation.
  • Pets:
    We will provide information on quarantine periods, documentation required and procedures for relocation/repatriation of pets and, if required, make the necessary arrangements on your behalf.
  • Return of keys, final inspection and refund of deposits:
    Upon your departure Stepping South will ensure that all maintenance, repairs and cleaning have been attended to satisfactorily, go through inspection once more with owner/agent, sign off and return the keys. Furthermore we will liaise with owner/agent for return of deposits for the company or employee.
