PRE-ARRIVAL

Stepping South will establish your needs and preferences prior to your arrival and then source suitable properties, book school visits and interviews and arrange all other appointments in preparation for your arrival. Photographs of a selection of suitable properties will be e-mailed to you prior to your visit so you could select a shortlist of desirable homes. Any other documentation pertaining to other services you may require will also be forwarded to you at this time where possible to ensure speedy and efficient service.

Arrival services

ARRIVAL

On your arrival in South Africa and/or on your preview trip Stepping South will:

  • Meet & greet:
    Meet you at the airport and transfer you to your first destination.
  • Property:
    Transport you to view pre-arranged properties for lease or purchase and advise you accordingly on price, areas, etc. and negotiate and arrange contracts, payments and occupation details on your behalf.
  • Other services:
    Co-ordinate and transport you to appointments for all other services, accompany you and provide advice and negotiate and arrange contracts, payments and details on your behalf.
  • Driving:
    Familiarise you with driving in South Africa and the different routes between your new home and your office and other important locations.
  • Household services:
    Take care of all the time consuming chores such as setting up electricity and water accounts, telephone lines and internet connections, etc.
  • Shopping:
    Stepping South will also accompany you on your first shopping trips and familiarise you the best shops and facilities in the area.
  • Full area tours of the city you are to live in and the surrounds can also be arranged for you.

SETTLING-IN (during your stay)

  • We are available for you for the first few months after your move to assist with any further needs that may arise. We will be always available telephonically to answer any queries and questions that may arise in the course of your stay to give advice on any aspect with regard to living and working in South Africa.
  • We will assist you with initial furniture, appliance and grocery shopping.
  • We will provide you with information on nannies, gardeners and domestic services and set up interviews.
  • We will arrange for you and your family to meet with people with similar interests to you, or people from your country or language group so you find it easier to form friendships and integrate into South African life.
